NG Mosaïque - Nathalie Grobel

Nathalie Grobel is a professional mosaic artist. She discovered and fell in love with this art in 2008 following a course with Yves Decompoix in Thonon les Bains. She there learns ancient techniques including the use of the martellino (a small mosaic hammer) to cut marble and granite, uses glass pastes, and learns both direct and indirect methods.

En 2017, à 35 ans, elle décide de franchir le pas et d’en faire son métier.

Following a new training with a well-known French mosaic artist, Henry-Noel Aubry, she discovers new technics and learns to use new raw materials (such as slate). This comfort her in her career choice and has a powerful creative impact over her work.

After a few pieces of mosaic art replicating famous paintings, she simply lets her creativity take over and her work starts to become modern and contemporary.

Nathalie also works now on commission, for both private clients and professionals.
